Payroll Protection Program Round Two Begins

Bank of Stockton is proud to participate in this second round of the PPP. We are honored to help our business clients and our community, as we continue to weather these most difficult economic circumstances together.

We invite our Customers applying for Round Two, our Customers applying for the First Time, New Customers applying for the First Time and New Customers with a Prior PPP at another bank applying for Round Two. Information and instructions are provided for each loan scenario below. Be sure to read our HELPFUL HINTS below so you can easily navigate the online application process. Please be advised, if you have your CPA or any other agent assist you with your PPP loan in any way, you are responsible for the payment of all fees assessed either directly or indirectly. The Bank of Stockton will not pay any third party fees associated with a PPP loan.

PPP ONLINE APPLICATION HELPFUL HINTS

Here are some helpful tips to navigate through the PPP Sageworks software:

  • When you receive your invitation email to register, you must register and begin the process within 48 hours of receiving the email or the registration link will expire. If your link has expired, we will send another invitation to you.
  • When in the application, YOU MUST DISABLE POP UP BLOCKERS. The software has pop-up windows that you will need in order to proceed through the application process.
  • Once you are in the application, if you are not ready to submit the application for processing, please enter a dollar amount for your PPP loan, regardless of if it is your final loan amount need. As you move through the application steps, you can save your application and come back to it to finish it. The online application software needs the “loan amount” populated before you save the application. You can change the loan amount prior to submitting the final application.
  • You must have a physical address on the application, not a P.O. Box.
  • You must show a 25% decrease in Gross Receipts on a 2020 quarter to 2019 quarter OR year-end 2020 to year-end 2019 comparison to qualify for the Second Draw.  Your Gross Receipts for this calculation must be substantiated by your documentation.
  • Evidence of average monthly payroll must be included to substantiate the loan request to the SBA.  Be sure to thoroughly read the SBA instructions on documentation for your type of business.  The application will ask you to upload the SBA required documents.
  • Include DE 9’s or a payroll report to substantiate Average Monthly Payroll expenses.  If you have employees that make more than $100,000, you must make the reduction to the max of $100,000 for each in calculating your Average Monthly Payroll.
  • Pay attention to the Beneficial Owner Section of the online application.  Be certain that you enter at least one Beneficial Owner or a combination of Beneficial Owners totaling at least 20% ownership.  You are required to enter the % in the application.
  • If you submit bank statements, you must circle the information on each statement that pertains to the application information.  Do not submit bank statements that have no notation on the statements regarding the information you are substantiating.
  • If you are working with a CPA, please be advised that any fees you assess with your CPA, either directly or indirectly, will be your responsibility.  The Bank of Stockton will not pay any third party fees associated with a PPP loan. If you want your CPA to have the ability to work with us, we will need a written authorization from you indicating authorization for your CPA to work with us on your behalf.  Email us at newppploans@bankofstockton.com and in the subject line, enter "CPA AUTHORIZATION FOR (Business Name)."
